rumors emerged last week of imminent layoffs at the casino

According to Las Vegas Locally, rumors emerged last week of imminent layoffs at the casino, which has been open for about a year on the Las Vegas Strip.

Those rumors now appear to be confirmed, as on November 12, Las Vegas Locally posted on X quoting a source who was a victim of the layoffs. The source stated it was “part of an ongoing reduction that has affected employees across departments.”

“Fontainebleau has closed several restaurants, resulting in layoffs of upper management and essential staff, including HR personnel,” the person stated.

“This process has lacked transparency, with no clear methodology or adherence to seniority, leaving many of us feeling blindsided. Severance packages are limited to two weeks’ pay, regardless of tenure, with little to no support or guidance from leadership.”
