The upcoming boxing match between YouTuber Logan Paul and former MMA fighter Dillon Danis could be in jeopardy after a fracas at the end of a press conference left Paul injured.

As the carnival sideshow concluded Thursday, Paul whipped what appeared to be a water bottle at Danis, hitting him in the upper leg. Before he could be held back, Danis hit Paul over the eye with a microphone. Paul left the stage bleeding heavily.

Paul’s injury puts his October 14 bout with Danis at AO Arena in Manchester, England in jeopardy.

“Right now, we going through hell,” Paul’s trainer Milton Lacroix told USA TODAY Sports. “He got hit in the face. His eye’s cut. So right now I’m just bugging out right now, just trying to find somebody. There might not be a fight.”

Odds on the fight, part of X Series 10 – The Prime Card, are difficult to come by in the US. FanDuel apparently had Paul as a massive favorite at -580 at one point, but that line seems to be off the board right now. At sportsbooks outside of the States, Paul is a similarly heavy favorite. At 888 Sport, for instance, he is at -650 (2/13), or 86.66% implied odds to win.

If the match proceeds as planned, it will be Danis’ first-ever boxing match – he has not fought at all since 2019. Logan Paul has never won in his short boxing career – he fought to a draw in an amateur match against rapper/influencer KSI in 2018, lost to him in a professional bout in 2019, and fought former champ Floyd Mayweather, Jr. in an unscored exhibition match in 2021.
