Visitors to The Venetian Resort Las Vegas are not happy after the introduction of paid parking at the property. According to reports on social media, the system is causing all kinds of issues for guests, including waiting times of more than two hours in the parking garage.

Visitors to the Solar Tradeshow at The Venetian Expo have taken to X to complain about their experience when leaving the event. One user called Evie P made clear her views on the recently introduced parking system, which she deemed “Ridiculous:”

Another tradeshow visitor had it even worse, claiming that it ultimately took him “2 hours & 21 minutes to get out.” He explained that the worst part was the fact that they tried to charge him $18 for parking after the ordeal. He added:

They should’ve been handing out $100 vouchers for wasting that much of my time.”

The Venetian implemented a paid parking policy for visitors not staying at the property on August 29, followed by the same policy for hotel guests on September 5. For Monday through Thursday, non-hotel guests must pay a rate of $15 for up to four hours and then $18 for up to 24 hours. This changes to $23 per day Friday through Sunday.

The Apollo Global Management-operated property said it introduced the changes “after evaluating operations and business demand.” The changes come ahead of the September 23 opening of The Sphere, a $2.2bn entertainment venue situated near the Las Vegas Strip.
