Just days after hackers stole $41m from cryptocurrency casino Stake, MGM Resorts International’s website has also gone down. The casino giant’s on-site computer systems are currently not working, including ATMs, withdrawals, box office, and MGM Rewards.

Posting on X, Las Vegas Locally speculated that the company may have been hacked, with many agreeing in the comments. The Las Vegas news source posted a notice from the MGM site confirming that it is unavailable:

Multiple other X users have also posted regarding the issue. Commenting at 3.40am Monday morning, one user named Connor O’brien said MGM ATMs and withdrawals had been inactive for the past six hours. He added: “Wonder how much MGM is losing per minute.”

Others have warned against speculation regarding a potential cyber attack. X user Ryan Saffell, for instance, said: “Just because a system is down doesn’t automatically mean it’s been hacked.”

MGM has not released any information to confirm or deny whether it has had a breach. The company was hacked in 2019, exposing the personal details of 10.6 million guests.
