A Maryland man has used the same number combination to win the state lottery in Maryland three times in the space of 11 months. The 52-year-old won $50,000 each time through $1 straight bets on ‘48548’ in the Pick 5 draw.

According to a recent release by the Maryland Lottery, the unnamed man first won in May 2022 after buying two different tickets for the same draw, yielding $100,000 in prize money. The latest win came this month. The retailer that sells the winning ticket in Maryland also receives a $500 bonus.

In a statement following his most recent win, the Charles County local outlined his belief that many winners stop playing after their lucky numbers come up trumps once.
